With more than thirty years of experience of caring for children with kidney disease Dr. Richard Trompeter is internationally highly regarded.  Having established paediatric nephrology at The Royal Free Hospital in London and the first renal transplant programme for children in North London, he went on to set up the dialysis and renal transplant programme at Great Ormond Street Hospital. This became the largest renal transplant unit for children in the UK. He was responsible for setting up the Transition Service for adolescents and young adults at the UCL centre for Nephrology, Royal Free Campus

Richard Trompeter’s current practice covers all aspects of kidney disease in infants and children, and focuses on:
Nephrotic Syndrome, chronic kidney disease and bladder problems especially bed wetting

He provides a highly effective diagnostic and clinical service working closely with colleagues in paediatric urology, transplant surgery, radiology and histopathology.
